What it costs
The price, before you have to ask.
You shouldn’t need a call to find out whether you can afford us. Here’s what a build costs, what changes the price, and what the months after launch look like.
No templates
Nothing here starts from someone else’s layout.
A lot of what’s sold as web design around here is a store-bought theme with your logo dropped in. That’s a real service at a real price, but it isn’t what we do. Every site we make is designed for one business and built from scratch, and once it’s paid for, the business owns it outright.
- No store-bought theme, no page builder, no starter layout
- Organized around how you make money, not around how a theme is laid out
- Standard code you own, with no license to renew and nobody to be locked into
A build
from$5,500
Or pay monthly$0 down
$355/month
18 fixed payments on an entry build, with nothing up front and a written payment agreement. Paying over time adds $825 to the $5,500 price. While the payment plan runs, the site is hosted with us at $45 a month, so what you actually pay each month is $400.
Each project is scoped and priced before any work starts. We don’t bill by the hour, and the price doesn’t move once the scope is signed. The figures here are what these builds usually cost. Your written scope is what sets your price.
What changes the price
- How many different kinds of page the site needs (not how many pages)
- Whether your message and the words on the site already exist, or need to be written
- Whether your current search rankings need protecting during the move
- Whether it connects to other tools: booking, ordering, payments, a customer database
- Whether there’s a system behind it: admin screens, a customer portal, an approval process
The three builds
Almost every project is one of these three. What sets them apart is what the site has to do, not how big it is. Any of them can be paid monthly with nothing down.

How you pay
In full, half and half, or monthly with nothing down.
We agree the price and put it in writing before work starts. For that scope, it doesn’t change. What you choose is when you pay it, and one of the three options starts at zero.
−10%
Paid in full
Pay the whole amount before we start and take 10 percent off.
50/50
Half now, half on delivery
No fee. You don’t pay the second half until you’ve seen the site.
$355/month
Monthly, nothing up front
No deposit. 18 fixed payments on an entry build, then it’s paid off.
After it launches
A website needs looking after.
Software gets updated, browsers change, and content goes out of date. Something that was right on launch day can be quietly wrong eighteen months later. We recommend a plan for every site, but no site is required to have one, and you can cancel any month.
Recommended
Kept running
$150/month
It stays fast, current, backed up and secure.
- Hosting, domain and security certificates, monitored
- Updates to the software your site runs on, applied and tested
- Daily backups, and a restore we’ve actually tested
- Small text and content edits, up to an hour a month
- A yearly accessibility and speed check
Kept improving
$450/month
Everything above, plus a standing block of studio time that doesn’t expire into nothing.
- Everything in Kept running
- Four hours of design and build work each month, used however you like
- New pages, sections and campaign landing pages, within those hours
- Search, speed and accessibility checked regularly, not just assumed
- A working session every quarter on what the site should do next
Retained
$1,100/month
The studio on call, for businesses where the website runs part of the day-to-day operation and isn’t just a brochure.
- Everything in Kept improving
- Ten hours of design and build work each month
- Priority turnaround, and a direct line instead of a queue
- Planning and strategy sessions every month, not every quarter
- For regulated practices: a scheduled review of published claims, credentials and dated awards before they go out of date
You don’t have to have a care plan. We recommend one for every site, and every plan can be canceled any month. Your domain and content are always yours, and the site and code are yours once the build is paid for, plan or no plan. A payment plan only requires hosting, which every care plan already includes.
